Why Temporary Ministries?

Temporary Ministries was born out of a simple conviction: much of the ministry God gives us is temporary, but that does not make it unimportant.

Over the years, Debbie and I have served in churches, military communities, public-service settings, speaking opportunities, and many other places we never could have planned in advance. Some assignments lasted years. Others lasted only a few hours.

The common thread has been this: be faithful with the opportunity God gives you while He gives it to you.

That remains the heart behind Temporary Ministries.

Today, that includes writing and teaching, encouraging churches and leaders, speaking when invited, sharing the weekly Wednesday Word, developing resources such as Leading Through the Noise, and simply remaining available for opportunities God places in front of us.

We do not know exactly where every opportunity will lead. That is part of the adventure.

Our desire is simply to be faithful in the places God allows us to serve—and to encourage others to do the same.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” — 1 Peter 4:10

Thank you for following along with Temporary Ministries. We are grateful to have you with us.
