The afternoon session moved from biblical foundations to practical application. David and Deborah walked participants through a face-to-face engagement, demonstrating how Christians can approach public servants personally, respectfully, and intentionally.

Participants were introduced to a practical process that includes preparing for the meeting, honoring the person and the office, listening carefully, sharing Scripture appropriately, praying together when welcomed, and following up afterward.

Rather than simply talking about engagement, the session included demonstration and conversation designed to help participants picture what an actual meeting with a public servant might look like.

The goal was to make the process feel approachable and practical, not intimidating or overly complicated.

The goal was not political advocacy or achieving a particular outcome. It was to encourage Christians to be faithful representatives of Christ—praying for those who serve, building genuine relationships, speaking respectfully, and keeping the gospel central.

Temporary Ministries is grateful for the opportunity to serve in Salina and for the thoughtful participation throughout both sessions.
